Keeping in mind it's a school setting, they do a great job. Some of the barbers are more nervous than others. But they ask questions from other students or instructors if they need assistance. They are very friendly and try to please.

Took my special needs son in for a haircut, they were soo patient with him. They did a Great Job . They are the best. I would highly recommend them to a parent who needs extra care taken with their child. Thank you

If you are considering any barber school in town this is the one to select! Not all barber schools are the same. Here you will be treated right. The instructors are always walking around and checking out the cuts. Pro tip for any barber school always have an instructor approve the cut. It will save you time and effort in the long run.

I brought my sister in to see Joey and he transformed my sister’s hair so beautifully that she felt like herself again. He listened to what she wanted very attententively and walked her through the process to make her as comfortable as possible. Her hair came out so beautifully, it was the dark rich brown that she wanted and a cut with layers that gave her some much needed volume. Joey did such an incredible job!! Sarah has to be the best barber I have encountered so far. Not only did she welcome me with lots of positivity but she also listened to all my ideas. She executed it perfectly. My hair looks fantastic . 10/10 def going to recommend her.

Joey did my hair and he did absolutely amazing! He was so kind, easy to talk to, and very caring. He was very attentive to me and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, Thank you Joey!

I'm deeply touched by the compassion and kindness displayed at the Alamo City Barber School during such a difficult time. When faced with the heartbreaking news of our mother's breast cancer diagnosis, the students, led by the incredible Javier Rodriguez, extended a heartfelt offer to shave our family's heads free of charge. While we couldn't bring yourselves to accept, the gesture alone speaks VOLUMES about the warmth and empathy within the school's community. Under the guidance of instructors Juanita Gonzalez and Luis Hurtado, it's evident that the students are not only learning the craft of barbering but also most importantly the spirit of empathy and support. Patrick Hernandez, Abram Hernandez, Nate Vasquez and Ana Silva showcased their exceptional skills and heartfelt care during such a sensitive moment. It's moments like these that truly show the power of love and support! Alamo City Barber School isn't just a place of learning; it’s their compassion in times of need. Thank you for showing the world and our family what true kindness looks like.
